Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PropSaves Limited ("we") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use PropSaves. We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

1. Information We Collect

• Identity & contact: name, date of birth, phone number, email, residential address.
• Government identifiers: BVN, NIN (used for KYC only).
• Financial: bank account number, bank name, transaction history within PropSaves.
• Device & usage: device model, OS version, IP address, app interactions and logs.
• Communications: messages you send to support, feedback, and broadcast preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and operate your account and process transactions.
• To meet KYC, anti–money laundering, and other regulatory obligations.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To send you transaction alerts, account notices, and (with your consent) marketing.
• To improve and develop the Service.

3. Sharing

We share personal data only with parties who help us deliver the Service or as required by law:

• Paystack Payments Limited — payment processing and bank transfers.
• QoreID — BVN/NIN verification.
• Termii — SMS and email delivery.
• Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and database storage.
• Regulators, law enforcement, or courts — when required by Nigerian law.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data — including your profile, login credentials, savings Plans, group memberships, chats, badges and push-notification tokens — is permanently removed from the live app straight away, and you can no longer sign in or access it.

However, as a licensed financial service we are required by Nigerian anti-money-laundering and "Know Your Customer" rules to retain certain records for a minimum period after an account closes. For this reason we keep a separate, locked, read-only archive of only the legally-required records — your transaction history, linked bank-account details, and identity-verification (KYC) details — for up to 5 years from the date of deletion. This archive is access-restricted, is never used to contact you or for marketing, and is permanently and automatically erased once the 5-year period passes. We keep nothing beyond what the law requires.

5. Your Rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or request deletion of your data, and to withdraw consent for marketing. Exercise these rights by writing to hello@propsaves.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted password and PIN storage (bcrypt), strict access controls, audit logs of administrator actions, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure — please help by safeguarding your credentials.

7. Children

PropSaves is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. International Transfers

Some processors may store data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we ensure equivalent protection through contractual safeguards as required by the NDPA.

9. Cookies

Our admin website uses minimal cookies for authentication only. The mobile app does not use third-party advertising trackers.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 7 days in advance.
